Wedding or Funeral Services
Can you help at Wedding or Funeral Services please?  
The PCC are seeking people to take on the role of verger for Funerals and Weddings.  
Full training provided and verger fee provided.
Please speak to Lulu, Edwards Woods or Ann Tolley.


Benefice Outing to Litchfield Cathedral
Saturday 5th October.  
Includes a tour of the Cathedral at 11.00 am, followed by free time to explore and a short service at the end of the trip.  
Coach to leave at 8.30 am from Richmond Road.  
Price £20 per person.

The Chantry Group
Meets on Tuesday evenings in September for Bible Study and fellowship at 7.30 pm.  
The evening is, as usual, open to everyone in the Benefice.

Bishop’s School Supporters  
If you are interested in listening to children read, sharing your faith in RE lessons or helping children grow in faith, the Diocese is providing some training on Tuesday 17th September.

Twelve Bells Competition and Church Fete
12 Bells and Fete Poster 2019On the 28th September the Bell Ringers are hosting a twelve bell ringing competition for ringers throughout the area.  
In conjunction St Lawrence will be hosting a “Fete” froim 12.30 pm to 3.00 pm
We need items for the following stalls: 
     Cake (to buy and for refreshments), Tombola items, Books (particularly cookery), Game Stalls and White Elephant.  
Volunteers to run these are needed.  
Please speak to Elizabeth Manning, Stephanie Watts, Isobel Gilbert or Rona in the Office.
All items for the Fete can be brought to the Chantry.
 

St Michael’s Bradden Services in September 
22nd September - Harvest Festival at 6.00 pm followed by refreshments
                                - All gifts will go to the Foodbank.

26th September - Harvest Lunch at 1.00 pm in Bradden Village Hall - Suggested donation of £5.00
                              - Profits to be split between St. Michaels and the Foodbank.


The Godwin Family are running the Saturday Morning Coffee Morning on 5th October to raise money for the Macular Degeneration Society.
Macular Degeneration is an age related eye condition. 
They will be running a Tombola at the event so any donations would be greatly accepted, plus if anyone would like to donate a cake please let John or Julie know.

St Lawrence Library
New Addition, "Into the silent land", provides an introduction to the Christian contemplative tradition for people who feel drawn to the world of silent prayer.

We are currently selling Draw Tickets to raise funds for necessary Church fabric.  
Please can you buy and or sell as many as possible.
Collect them from one of our churchwardens or sidespeople or the Office
