Shoebox Service at St Bartholomew’sDo join us for the Shoebox Service at St Bartholomew’s on Sunday 18th November at 11.00 am.
Refreshments from 10.30 am.
Children from Greens Norton School will be taking part in the service.
There are leaflets at the back of the Church giving details of the items to be included in the shoebox. Please do consider supporting this worthwhile project and experience the joy of helping a child for whom this may be their only present.
If you are unable to attend the service, please leave your filled shoebox at the back of the Church or in the Chantry Office.
Any empty shoe boxes would also be appreciated for others to use.

Barbara and Kevin Parfitt (bjp7@btinternet.com)

Please Pray for our Churchwardens as they meet with the Archdeacon to discuss the future Rector for our Benefice and for Ben and Sarah for a good last chapter with us.

Deanery & Diocesan Synod
St Lawrence needs at least two people to become members of Deanery Synod.
It’s only two meeting a year and you get to know more about all our Deanery Churches activities.
Please ask Rona if you want to know more.
You only need to be on our Electoral Roll, not a PCC member.
It is a very interesting role.

Chantry House
The Chantry committee has completed the works on the gable end which is now restored and should last for several decades to come.
Unfortunately it has wiped out it’s funds and we have several more jobs to do to maintain the House.
Chantry House Coffee Mornings It is vital therefore that the Coffee Mornings continue to raise funds for the heating and lighting cost.
Can you spare a Saturday morning once every six months to run a coffee morning?
Please speak to Rona or one of the Clergy.
We are short of volunteers for 4 Saturdays January to June 2019!

Could you be a star Baker?
Welcome cakes for new residents Could you make or deliver a welcome cake to our new residents opposite the racecourse?
If so, please contact Anne Pendry. 01327 350666 or
eleanorannetownsend@gmail.com
